Christian & Small Partner Rachel J. Moore recently spoke to the Alabama Association of Paralegals, Inc. (AAPi) during its September meeting to discuss tips for effective billing practices. Her presentation included examples of what not to do, and also recommended that billing descriptions be conveyed in such a way that illustrates that the work completed was necessary, valuable and important. Additionally, billing entries should indicate to clients that forward progress is being made on their cases.
The Alabama Association of Legal Assistants, Inc. (AALA) was formed in July 1982 as a non-profit organization to promote the paralegal profession through awareness and education. AAPi is an affiliate of the National Association of Legal Assistants, Inc. (NALA).
