The members of Christian & Small’s Real Estate practice group are leaders and active members of national and regional real estate and construction professional organizations including the Alabama Council on Real Estate (ACRE), Associated Builders and Contractors, and the Birmingham Business Alliance.

  • Served as lead counsel in a landlord-tenant dispute where client was sued for more than $500,000 in unpaid rent, repair costs and other fees. Following a week-long trial, the jury found in favor of our client on the landlord’s claims and awarded the client more than $60,000 on the tenant’s counterclaim, plus all of the client’s legal fees. 
  • Successfully foreclosed on behalf of an Improvement District and Bond Trustee on more than a hundred lots owned by a developer in default where bonds were secured only by Improvement District Assessments.
  • Obtained order in favor of large industrial landowner declaring public prescriptive easement and continued rights to access timber resources.
  • Successfully obtained judgment quieting title “in rem” on numerous parcels claimed by multiple heirs and successfully sold property pursuant to bill for sale and division.
