Christian & Small is pleased to announce that Christina May Bolin, lead partner in the firm’s Mobile/Baldwin County office, has been elected President of the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association (ADLA) at the organization’s Annual Meeting in Sandestin Beach, Florida last week. Bolin’s firm merged with Christian & Small a little over a year ago, and she became the lead partner for the firm’s Baldwin County office. In that time she has represented the firm in many civil defense cases as well as continued to serve on ADLA’s board as President-Elect.
“I am honored to have been selected by my friends and colleagues within the membership to be ADLA’s president this year,” Bolin said (pictured above right with Christian & Small Partner and 2017-2018 ADLA President Sharon D. Stuart, left). “I’d like to thank Past President Dennis Bailey for his service during his 2018-19 term, and I look forward to working with President-Elect Andrew J. Rutens, Secretary-Treasurer Gerald C. Swann, Jr., our newly elected Board of Directors, and Young Lawyers Section officers and directors as we continue the great work from this past year, implement our strategy for 2019-20, and work hard to advance our plans for the future.”
ADLA strives to bring together lawyers in Alabama who devote a substantial amount of their professional time to the handling of civil defense cases, facilitating among members the exchange of information, ideas, techniques and court rulings related to the handling of civil defense litigation. These exchanges are intended to improve the skills of civil defense lawyers and elevate the standards of trial practice. ADLA supports and encourages an increase in the quantity and quality of the service and contributions the legal profession provides to the community, state and nation.
Bolin has dedicated her practice to assisting clients in the development of strategic solutions to legal disputes and litigation risks. Since 2001 she has defended property and casualty losses, catastrophic casualty claims, complex insurance coverage questions, fraud and bad faith. She received her B.A. from Binghamton University and holds a J.D. from the Hofstra University School of Law.
