The Alabama State Bar officially appointed Partner Christina May Bolin to the Covid-19 Civil Bench and Bar Task Force. As a member of the task force, Christina will work with members to address how Alabama Courts can run effectively and efficiently upon opening after being closed for the current pandemic emergency.
As trials are delayed to comply with social distancing measures, criminal jury trials will likely have first priority. The task force, comprised of defense and plaintiff attorneys, the Alabama State Bar, and judges from the Alabama Supreme Court, Circuit Court and District Court will work together to provide solutions to help prevent backlogs in the courts.
