Christian & Small is pleased to announce that Partners LaBella S. Alvis, Sharon D. Stuart, and M. Jansen Voss appear in two of Benchmark Litigation’s 2018 rankings lists. Alvis and Stuart were recognized in the 2018 “Top 250 Women in Litigation” list, and Voss was recognized in Benchmark’s third annual “Under 40 Hotlist.”
This year marks the seventh research cycle for Benchmark’s “Top 250 Women in Litigation,” and this is the fifth time that Alvis and fourth time that Stuart have been honored with this recognition. According to Benchmark’s website, “These women have earned their place amongst the leading female litigators by participating in some of the most impactful litigation matters in recent history as well as by earning the hard-won respect of their peers and clients. Though they hail from widely different practice areas, they all share the distinction of being recognized as top players in their respective fields.”
Alvis has a strong passion for going to court and has been doing so for more than 30 years. In addition to handling trucking and aviation matters, she has experience with products liability, professional liability, liquor liability and coverage cases. Alvis’ professional liability work includes hundreds of EEOC and employment liability claims, medical malpractice defense, construction/architect liability, and Civil Rights litigation alleging violations under 42 U.S.C. § 1983. Sharon D. StuartStuart is a founding partner of Christian & Small and has been with the firm since 1993. She devotes her practice to civil trial work and arbitration. She focuses on complex commercial and insurance litigation, and she handles a variety of pharmaceutical and medical device products liability litigation as national, regional or local counsel. Sharon’s trial experience includes a wide range of business tort claims, contract disputes, commercial and insurance fraud and bad faith suits, and wrongful death cases.
