Christian & Small Managing Partner Deborah Alley Smith, along with Teach For America-Alabama teacher Tawanda Morgan (a 2015 corps member who teaches at Woodlawn High School), appeared on ABC 33/40‘s “Talk of Alabama” morning show to encourage participation in the firm’s #AdvocatesForEducation school supply drive:

Donations will be accepted through Friday, July 8, in our lobby on the 18th floor of the Financial Center (505 North 20th Street, Birmingham, AL 35203). For more information or to schedule a pick-up for your contribution, please email Leslie Scarborough (lcscarborough@csattorneys.com).
If it would be easier for you to make a monetary contribution, we’ve established a GoFundMe page (https://www.gofundme.com/TFA-AL_supplies) to accept donations that we will use to purchase these supplies.
On Thursday, July 14, attorneys and staff from Christian & Small and Teach For America-Alabama corps members and staff will convene for a service project where we will assemble these donations into kits for the corps members’ classrooms. Students in these classrooms who are not able to provide their own supplies will receive these kits, and any leftover supplies will become a supplement to the teacher’s own classroom resources.
