Partner Richard (Richie) Thayer has joined the Birmingham MS Leadership Class of 2013 – a group of young professionals in the community who have made contributions to the profession and to the our community.
Since 1994, the Birmingham MS Leadership Class has honored nearly 1,100 community leaders and raised nearly $1 million dollars in the fight against MS. Additionally, more than $2 million has been invested in MS research at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
More than 4,100 people in Alabama are living with the challenge of MS. “A new person is diagnosed with MS every hour. MS is a debilitating and tragic disease and I have seen first-hand the impact it can have,” said Richie. “But I also see the impact of research and treatment. We are so close to a cure and I am very proud to accept the challenge of raising $2,500 as part of the Birmingham MS Leadership Class of 2013.”
We are proud of Richie, too.
