Jordan joined Christian & Small in 2018 and focuses her area of practice on civil litigation, insurance, premises liability, and transportation matters. She quickly made her mark in the transportation arena handling a large portion of the firm’s work for a major national carrier. Within the firm, Jordan serves on the Christian & Small Diversity and Inclusion Committee and is a frequent contributor to articles and video blogs.
Prior to joining Christian & Small, Loper experienced hands-on courtroom experience as a student attorney in the Immigrant Rights Clinic at Washington & Lee University School of Law. Loper clerked one year with the Honorable Peyton C. Thetford of the 10th Judicial Circuit of Alabama.
Outside the office, Loper is an active leader and participant in both professional and community organizations. She is a member of the Birmingham Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association. She is a member of the International Society of Primerus Young Lawyer’s Section and seres on the Newsletter Committee. As a member of the Junior League of Birmingham, Loper has been active in initiatives focused on mentoring young women. She planned and implemented a mentoring series with Girl’s Inc., and served with Impact Alabama helping underserved residents prepare tax returns.
Honorees were chosen based on their contributions to their firms and their potential to shape the industry and the Magic City’s legal world moving forward. Nominations were submitted as part of the BBJ’s ongoing NextGen series which highlights emerging leaders in a number of fields.
