Christian & Small is pleased to announce that Partner Rachel J. Moore is elected Vice-President of the , serving a one-year term. Installation of officers took place Wednesday, September 9, 2020. She is also a member of NAWIC’s Southeast Region Emerging Professionals Committee.
Rachel Moore is an accomplished attorney with more than 25 years of legal experience. She practices in the areas of commercial, construction and banking litigation, and appellate work. In her construction practice, Rachel represents general contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers in litigation matters. She routinely handles mechanics’ and materialman’s lien claims, as well as private and public work bond claims. Rachel is a frequent presenter on legal and construction-related topics including lien and bond claims, force majeure, the impact of Covid-19 on construction projects and construction contracts.
Rachel practices in all Alabama state and federal courts, including the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. She holds an AV® Preeminent Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell, and is recognized by The Best Lawyers of America® as a 2021 Best Lawyer in the field of Construction Law.
Rachel is a member of the American Bar Association, as well as the Birmingham Bar Association – where she serves in the Bankruptcy/Commercial Law Section and the Women Lawyers Section. Rachel is also a member of the Alabama Associated General Contractors (AGC), Associated Builders and Contractors of Alabama (ABC Alabama), Subcontractors Association of Alabama (SubAla), Turnaround Management Association, Alabama Defense Lawyers Association (ADLA), and is a member of the Defense Research Institute (DRI) where she serves as the Women in the Law section liaison to the DRI Commercial Litigation section.
