A Warning for Carriers: Alabama Judge Issues Heavy Sanctions Against National Carrier

Recently, a judge in North Alabama issued a $620K order for sanctions against a national liability carrier for failing to appear for a court-ordered mediation on an uninsured motorist case. This case will have broad implications for carriers, adjusters, and defense counsel going forward when convening for mediation and claims for bad faith.
